Play ball with the newest art piece in Dix Park, Orange Functional, an interactive sculpture by Cuban-born artist Alexandre Arrechea.
Located in Flowers Field, its vivid orange branches blossom into twenty-three functional, regulation-size basketball hoops. As participants shoot, the balls fall to the grass like fruit from a tree, inviting engagement through play rather than passive observation.
